BEACH RACING.
PIONEER SPORTS CLUB. Nearly a thousand people attended the motor-cycle racea organised by the Pioneer Sports Club at North Beach last evening'. To gauge the suitability of the beach tor light oar racing, a try-out was held. Over a six-mile lap, C. Hayward (Austin 7) put up the fastest time—lOmin fosec. Tho3e who took part in thia event found that turning on the sand was quite easy.
