THE DISASTER AT LYONS.
COLLAPSE OF HILL. THIRTY-SEVEN NOW DEAD. (t'NITICD iHKifi ASSOCIATION RLXCTEIC TBLBG&ArH—COPYRIGHT.) (Raceived November 16th, 11 p.m.; LONDON, November 15. Following the landslide at Lyons, in France, seven bodies, including that- of a baby, have been recovered. Six of the injured have been rescued. A woman and a baby died in hospital. Tottering buildings, which threatened 300 workers, were dynamited; but a wing of the Chaeeaux Hospital, the walls of whieh are badly cracked, is still balanced precariously on the edge of the chasm. A torrent of water pouring out from a gap in the hillside doubled the difficulties of removing the debris until a temporary pipe-line di' verted the flow. Enormous works must be constructed to hold up the remainder of the hilltop, which is crowned with historic edifices. _ m , ■ , The death-roll is now 3i. Three thousand soldiers and firemen are cleaning up the debris. ___
