The annual meeting of the Rangiora Cricket Club was held on Saturday evening. Mr A\ . A Rowse presided, and fifteen members were present. Tho committee, in presenting their annual report and balance-sheet for the season 1f1'29-30.' congratulated the- club upon its success during the season. During the past season two senior teams had taken the field, one in the Canterbury Cricket Assn. riati'on's competition and one in the North Canterbury Cricket Association's competition. "Hie former team had done very well. The o'ub's hatting average for the year had been won by A. V. Miller, with an average of 52.15 per inningu. Mr Miller Had also comniled the highest individual score of the season, viz.. 112, against Sydenham. The bowling average had been won by H. K. Kippcnberger, taking 51 wickets at a cost of 14.33 runs. H. Kinley, another slow bowler, had taken 29 wicketa at an average cost of 18.66 runs. The finances were not as satisfactory as expected, mainly through the nonpayment of some subscriptions by playing members. The receipts were £29 lis 9d, and the expenditure £29 5s sd, leaving a credit balance of 5s sd. The assets over liabilities amounted to £22 4s 6d. With Helfrich, a 17-year-old player, ho added 100 for the fifth wicket, in 95 minutes.
