EXHIBITION CLOSED. That Britain ii Vast regaining her position in the motor 'world has bec*u amply demonstrated by the vehicles which wore on show at the Golden Arrow Industries Exhibition, promoted oy the British (United Kingdom) Manufacturers' Association, which closed iti week's display at the King Edward Barracks on Saturday evening. From every point of view the Exhibition was a success. In attendances the exhibition eclipsed thoEO which recently were held in Wellington aud Auckland. There was no official closing of tbe exhibition, but the singing of " Auld Lang Syne." and tho Katicr.al Anthem vt 10 oVlock was the signal for the uornrture of the crowds, and tho dismantling of the various stands. The management aud exhibitors gathered afterwards at an informal function to celebrate its close. Attendances were estimated to 1-e in the vicinity of 2-5.000 for the whole of the Exhibition, and although the takings have net yet been ovidished it is the' t" »y :;"c -'.ry satisfac:o»t. The pi ?6 will bo devoted to charity, and will be divided among the St. John Ambulance Associetion, the Plunket Society (for the Karitane Baby Hospital), and the Salvation Army Men's Home, Addington. iUr P. Crozier, president of tbe Manufacturers' Association, stated that the Exhibition had been extremely satisfactory, both from tho point of view of attendances, and from the impression which had been gained by those who had seen the display. The advanca of British manufacture had been particularly noticeable, and the general result of the exhibition bad made it one of the best. The Golden Arrow cr.r will be on exhibition at the Invercargiil Motor Exhibition in the last week ot' this month, and at. Dunedin in the first week of December.
