DIVING EXHIBITIONS BY CHARLES ZIMMY.
"■ —-- Mr Charles Zimray, the legless swimmer, •who attracted bo mu<h interest at tho Metropolitan Show with his performances under water, hae decided t,o give an exhibition of diving and swimming at the Tepid Baths to-morrow &nd Wednesday, in order further to demonstrate his wonderful veri sotility in tho water. Mr Zimmy also intends to give convincing proof of his ability to eat food and to smoke under water, a feat which people at first find difficult to regard as genuine. The baths will offer him much greater ocopo for the exhibition of His prowess in this direction. Mr Ziminy has toured America and Axis-, tralia giving such demonstrations, often to< parties of ■ scbooUohildren, to whom he has lectured on the art of swimming. He expressed great admiration of the Ten id Baths in Christchurcli, which he describes as the finest he has eeen in Australia or New Zealand. For his performance a platform will be erected near the rafters, and from this he will make his fancy dives. Of tbese he is able to perform many types, while his knowledge of novol swimming strokes is . extensive. He wishes it to be imrierstood that his exhibitions will in no way -interfere with other swimmers, and that season ticket-holders will be able to attend t>ht* baths as usual, paying an additional small charge during the hours of his performances.
