CANINE SAGACITY.
THE MASTER TOOK "BAXTER'S" ALSO. A inan in Timaru' had ratlier a valuable dog. It seemed -to develop some. species of cold and he was rather' perturbed about: it and thought he would lose the animal. He tried various remedies- but with little avail. In desperation, he gave the dog some Baxter's Lung Preserver in hot milk. The dog lapped it up eagerly, and the result was magical. In a few days the canine recovered and is now. in good fettle again. Shortly, after .this incident the man' himself .developed a bad cold on the chest.
