MAGISTERIAL. FRIDAY. (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) REMANDED. A charge of failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order was preferred against William. Edward Anderson (Mr F. D. Sargent). Sub-Inspector P. J. O'Hara said that Anderson had b&sn arrested oa an Ashburton warrant. He asked for a remand until today. The remand was granted, and on the application of Mr Sargent bail was allowed, in £IOO, with one surety of £IOO. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Hugh Clarke Barrie, a carrier, aged 61, and Edith Firth, aged 54, were separately charged with using obscene language in Alcester street on Thursday. After evidence had been taken, Barrie was fined £5 and costs, in default fourteen days' imprisonment, and Firth £2 and costs, in default seven days' imprisonment.
