The port is very quiet at present, and in addition to tlje ferry steamer there is only one small vessel duo to-day. The big liner Rangitane and two coastal steamers are duo to-morrow, but the waterfront will bo working below normal for the remainder of the month. The Orepuki is due here to-day from Tarakohe. She will discharge cement and then load for Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth.

Th« Totara is expected to-morrow from Timaru. She loads on Monday for New Plymonth and Bails via Wellington. The Waimarino i« expected here to-morrow from Dunedin and Timaru. She takes in cargo here on Monday for Auckland and tails via Wellington. The Rangitane should arrive here to-mor-row from Wellington to load for London. She is to sail about Wednesday for Napier. Gisborne, and Auckland, and is to sail finally from the last-named port-.-on December 6tb ■. for Southampton and London. The Canadian Constructor should arr.ive here on Thursday from Wellington to discharge cargo from Montreal and to load. She is to sail on Friday for Timaru and Dunedin, thence for Wellington and Auckland to load. The Canadian Constructor is to sail finally from Auckland on December 2nd for New Tork. Boston, and Halifax. The Breeze iB expected from Timaru on Tuesday to load for Wellington and Wanganut. . The Calm is due here-, on Thursday from Bluff, Dunedin. and Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The John is to take in cargo at Lyttelton on Tuesday for Wellington, Wanganui. New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Progress should be here on Wednesday from the south to load for Wellington, Wanganui. New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Foxton is expected on Tuesday from Foxton and will load here for the return trip. The Gale is timed to load here on Saturday next for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The tanker Paua arrived here yesterday from. Timaru. and after loeding from the tanker -Ima. sailed for Bluff. The tanker Ima. which is discharging motor-spirit here, is now to .sail to-morrow morning, for. Balikpapan. The Kuku should arrive here about Tuesday evening from Nelson, Motueka, and Wellington, and is .to load on Wednesday for those ports. The Kanna should arrive here on Tuesday from Portland and Wellington. After discharging cement she will sail for Westport. The auxiliary schooner Huia is at present at Auckland, whore she will be laid up for the next two months having new engines fitted.
