ABATTOIRS REOPEN IN SYDNEY.
- KILLINGS RESTRICTED. (UKITED PSKSS ' ASSOCIATION —BT ELECTRIC TELSGRAPH—COPTRIQBT.) • (Received November 14th, 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 14. Two thousand sheep and 500 cattle were slaughtered at the Homebush Abattoirs, which reopened to-day. Normal Friday killing "should be 18,000 sheep and 1000 cattle.. Officials estimate that there will be no shortage of meat till Tuesday, as Wrge supplies of fjozen meat are being used. Retail prices Have risen by from threepence to fourpence a pound.
