WEDDING.

BROUGHAN—BOYCE. A pretty wedding was celebrated" recently at St. Peter's Church, Upper Riccarton, when Laura Alic®, eldest daughter of Mr A. Boyce, DoylestOn, was married to John Francis, only eon of Mr and Mrs F. Broughan, Blenheim. The Rev. H. T. York, assisted by Archdeacon York, performed the ceremony. Mr McCaldron was organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful long-sleeved frock of ivory satin beaute, with fitting, bodice, and fully flared ankle-length, skirt. Her lace-edged tulle Veil formed: a train, and was, arranged with orangeblossom over the forehead, and she carried a bouquet of arum lilies, freesias, and lily of the valley. 5 Two bridesmaids attended the' bride, Miss Win Broughan, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Beryl Boyce, cousin of the bride, both wearing long sleeveless frocks of green floral ninon, and green felt hats and shoes td match. They carried shower bouquets of pink roses. Little Joan Boyce, half-sister of the bride, was flower-girl, and wore a pretty pink georgette frock, the skirt being composed of tiny picot-edged frills, and a hat of pink felt. She carried a posy of pink, carnations. * Mr Eric Biddle was best man and Mr Arthur Shanks was groomsman. On leaving the church little Merle Hardy presented the bride with a lucky horseshoe. After the ceremony the reception was held at the Masonic Hall, Totara street, where Mrs Boyce, step-mother of the bride, received the guests wearing a handsome navy crepfe de chine and lace frock, with sisal straw hat, and carrying a bouquet of scarlet anemones. Mrs Broughan, the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of raisin-brown satin, with a moire silk coat and Bangkok, hat to match, and carried a bouquet of orange Bhaded 'anemones. Mrs S. Hardy sister ot the bride, wore a floral frock, under a navy silk' coat, and a pandan hat to tone. ' Later. Mr and Mrs J. F. Broughan left for the south, the latter wearing a brown floral crepe de chine frock,- a brown flecked coat, and a wide-brimmed pandan hq't. .

DYKE DENNIS—TRITTON. {VBOU 01TB ovm COKRESPOXDEXT.) LONDON, October 9. On October Bth the marriage took place at Holy Trinity, Brompton, of Mr Patrick Dyke Dennis, son of Mr and Mrs H. Dyke Dennis, of New Hall, Buabon, North Wales, and Mrs Alys Tritton, widow of Mr B. L. Tritton, and daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Dancan, of Wellington. "The Bev. H. S. Sard performed the ceremony. The bride waa given away by her uncle, Lieutenant-Colonel the Hon. Nigel C. Gathorne-Hardy, D.S.O. . She wore a coat and skirt of pale beige crepe de chine with a jumper to match and a large collar of fox to tone with her small chocolate-brown velvet hat. There were no bridesmaids.
