ACCIDENTS.
FATAL COLLISION. EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. (PEBSS ASSOCIATIOS TZUSGKAIt.) . AUCKLAND, November 13. "Two more - young lives have been thrown away through this ■ excessive craze for speed," commented the Coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt, at'the'iiiquest into the deaths of William Antony Wyvill Thompson, aged 20, and Florence H. McDonald, aged 16, who died from injuries received following a collision between the motor-cycle they were riding and a' stationary motor-truck in /the New North road on October 29th. A verdict of accidental death was returned in each case. "The speed of the motor-eye le was terrific," said Archibald Alfred ;Leman. "I think lie was travelling too fast to negotiate a dangerous, bend such as there is at tho point where the accident happened." Witness also said that the force of the collision sent the motortruck forward.
