YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS.

Recorded business on call yesterdav morning was confined to a few stocks in which there was a moderate turnover. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, included:— 400 Comm. Bank of Auat. 100 Bank of New Zealand (cum div.). 100 Goldsbrough, Mort. 550 New Zealand Breweries. 100 Electro. Zinc. (pref.). 400 Mt. Lyell (cum div.). 4000 Mahakipawa Goldfields. Australian Bank of Commerce were weaker with sellers at 20s Id, buyers | fl t 19s 3d. Commercial Bank of Australia shares had dealings at 17s and 17s Id, market closing 17s sellers, 16s lid buyers. Buyers of National Bank of New Zealand cum dividend raised their bids to £5 15s, without attracting sellers. Bank of New Zealand cum dividend advanced to dealings at 575, and thtfre were further buyers at 56s 9d, sellers at 57s 6d. Miscellaneous. South British Insurance shares hardened to 55s 6d buyers, 56s 6d sellers. Goldsbrough, Morts were fractionally weaker at 22s 3d, closing quotations 22s Id buyers, 22s 4d sellers. New Zealand Breweries shares had dealings at 45s 9d, and business was later reported at 45s 9d, 465, and 45s 6d, closing quotes ■ 45s 6d buyers, 45s 9d sellers. Tooths Brewery shares were offered at yesterday's business figure, 25s Id, buyers ac 24s 9d. British Tobaccos moved up to 33s lOd buyers, 35s sellers. Electrolytic Zinc Preference shares were taken at 17s 9d, closing quotations 17s 9d sellers, 17s 7d buyers. Mt. Lyella changed hands at 19s 7d, 19s 6d, and 19s sd, sellers staying in at the lowest price, buyers at 19s 3d. North Canterbury Co-op. Flour Milling shares were firm on buyers' offers 12s 6d, no sellers. Mahakipawa Goldfields shares were a shade firmer at 9d, market closing Bid buyers, 9d sellers.
