Mitchell-Hedges, the noted British explorer and author, the mvsterious attack upon whom, a* Ripley, by six young Liberals. foUowett bv the loss of six shrunken heads from his collection,- created a sensation in. (Lady Brown, F.L.S.. F.Z.B.* F.It.G.S., F.R.A.1., travelled extensively in Central America, accompanied by Mr Mitchell-Hedges, in- 1921-22. They explored the San Bias Archipelago, penetrated an unknown part of Panama, discovering the Chucunaque Indians, and returned to England with a large ethnological collection, which is now in the British Museum. They engaged in deep-sea research work in th» Caribbean Sea, among the Caves off the coast of Guatemala and British Honduras, and in the interior of _ those countries discovered the remains of ancient Maya cities.]-
