Professor Crespi. addressine tba International Conference of Young Liberals, in London, made remarkable allegations of ■ torture practised on imprisoned opponents of the Fascists in Italy. He said that sometimes people's feet were placed in boiling water, or they were pounded over the heart with a hammer covered * with indierubber, or forced to listen to shrieks from near-by cells. The professor said that JJprtoJo JJellotti, a well-known lawyer, died in prison on Sunday.
