BAND CONCERT.
The concert given by tlio "Woolston Band In tho City Rotunda, Poplar Qresceut, last evening, again attracted a large crowd. It was the third of a series of four "which have been organised by South Island Motors, Limited. So great was the interest taken by tho' public in tho firm's guessing competition that at one stage the supply of entry forms ran out, and more had to be obtained. Entrants had to estimate the number of miles that v/ould be run by a car that had been jacked up in South Island Motors' show-room, and which it. was intended should be allowed to run from last Monday until next Friday evening. Tho programme given by the band was as follows March, 4 'Cavalry of the Clouds.** (Alford) ; overture, "Zampa" (Harold); fcx-trot, "Hot Toasted Peanuts" (Tobins) ; trombone solo, "Fire Fly." Bandsman E. Williams; song, "Love's Old Sweet Song" (Bingham) ; fantasy, "In a 'Chinese Temple Gftrden" (Ketefby) ; one-step, "Chinkee Lee" (Franklin); march, "Harlequin" (Rimmer) ; God Save the King.
