CRYSTAL PALACE.
"SON OF THE GODS." "Son of The Gods," & First National and Yitaphon© all-talking dramatic masterpiece, is to be presented at the Crystal Palace on Monday next. Richard Earthelmess has never exerted mora forcefully the magic of his personality in this splendid Hex Beach story. The picture is beautifully produced. Part of it is in tcchnicolour and this sequence provides another demonstration that the process of colour photography has at last been perfected. But the black and white scenes also represent the artistic touch and the almost uncany skill and ingenuity of men who through years of practical experience have mastered the art of the camera. A splendid company of players supports Barthelmees. They are headed by Constance Bennett, one of the most capable dramatic interpreters now on the screen. Altogether, "Son of the Gods" 13 one of the most brilliantly produced and satisfying ' entertainments to I>o eeen in Christchurch for some time. The box plans arc at The Bristol Piano Company "SPRING IS HERE.* 5 ' 'Spring is Here," the picture at the Crystal Palace this "week, is a well-acted comedy-romance. The story concerns a young man whose adventures in love lead him into many embarrassing situations.
