WELLINGTON WAR MEMORIAL.
BRONZE FIGURE ARRIVES. <PBESB ASSOCIATION THJEOBAX.) WELLINGTON, November 12. Weighing about five tons, the bronze equestrian figure destined to crown the Wellington War Memorial is on board the Tamaroa, which arrived from England this morning. Advice received some time ago stated that the figure had been shipped on the vessel, but no information was available till this morning that this actually was the case. The figure, a winged pegasus in bronze, 14ft high, is the work of B. O. Grosse, of Auckland, and was carried out in London.
