F. J. GROSE TO GO TO AUSTRALIA.
' WELLINGTON, November 3. There is a possibility that F, Grose, the Christchurch cyclist, will be sent to Austtr.lia to compete in the championship meeting to be held, it is understood, in Sydney. Speaking at a meeting: of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association this evening, Mr E. Guy suggested that the Canterbury' Centre should be approached asking for "its rievß, while a letter could also be sent to the Cyclists Union suggesting that perhaps it might, be a!>!e to secure an invitation for "Grcse to compete in' Australia. The meeting unanimously adopted this suggestion. A record gi'en oflicial recognition was -that of Miss Evelyn Hoyle, who ran 50 yards at th-j Waipukurau sports on November 29th la*t in 6 l-10sec; The following reinstatements were granted: A. J. Hansen (Marton), W. J. Hosie (ManaiaK H. E. Somerville (Wellington), H. W. Insall (Jnvercargill), and K. C. Thompson (Waimate).
