SWEEPS HELD AT LAKESIDE. There were not sufficient entries to ■warrant the Ellesmere Gun Club proceeding ■with it» 230 open sparrow match on Sa'turdey, and--' instead several sweeps were ield. The weather ■> was fine and the birds were fairly lively. In No. 1 sweep, of nine birds, P. I*. McGregor (17yds), W. Winchester (17yds), and R. S. Taylor (31yds) scored possibles ana divided the money. There were twelve com- , petitors. '...'.,. » A second sweep of nine birds' arbw eleven competitors. It. S. Taylor again scored the . maximum number of kills and' -tools fast money, while F. Rowell (Idyds), W. Winchester, H. Jones (19yds), D. L. McGregor, and R. C. Thian (18yds), each with eight klUi»-.> shared the rest of the money. y A sis-bird sweep drew eight contestants, and 'S. M. Jackman (17yds) and R. O. Thian, .. each with sis kills, divided first and second prizes. c . Two other sweeps were held, 8. M. Jackman winning both, the first on the seventh. round and the. second on tho sixth round.
