BILLIARDS. (Received September 21st, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON* September 20. In the time-limit billiards match; W. Lindrum has made 14,891, including breaks of 245 and 660 unfinished. C. Falkiner has reached 12,403, including breaks of 54 arid 130.
AFFILIATION PROPOSAL * REJECTED. , SYDNEY, September 20. A proposal to affiliate with the Australian Labour Party .was rejected after an animated debate by the New South Wales Railway and Tramway Officers Association. A delegate who supported the motion said it was only from the Labour Party that members could hope for the betterment of conditions. ABMY REGULATIONS AMENDED. RUGBY, September 19. The King's Regulations, which are the authority on all matters affecting Army discipline, have been amended to provide that minor defaulters should be given "special or useful instruction appertaining to their corps," rather than pack drill. Under the old regulations pack drill was compulsory when a defaulter who had been confined to barracks could not be found fatiguo work to keep him employed.
