The barometer is riling, the reading last evening being 29.90. Wellington—Yesterday morning was over cast, but the bob broke through about noon, *nd for the remainder of the day bright sunshine was experienced. The night was overcast. Duno&in—The weather was cloudy but fine yesterday with a light easterly wind. The masummi temperature was 55 degrees. The barometer shows a rising tendency, the reading last evening being 29.70. Stincut. General Situation—Pressure is still rather high over Australia aad the Tasman S'ea, and has risen' somewhat over New Zealand, bat is still low to the eastward. Wind*—Variable, with westerlies prevailing o*wr Otsgo and Southland, elsewhere moderate west to sooth.
Sens (New Zealand waters) —Still a considerable swell between Cape Campbell and East Cape, bnt moderating, elsewhere smooth to moderate. Tasman Sea—Moderate south-west to north-west winds and smooth to moderate seas in the eastern Tasman. Weather—Mainly fair, but some scattered showers in southern Otago and Southland, and on the West Coast of the South Island; temperatures cool to moderate. DOMINION REPORTS.
