EVERYBODY'S THEATRE.
"DARKENED ROOMS." "Darkened Rooms," now showing at Everybody's Theatre, is an adaptation of Sir Philip Gibbs's recent novel of the same name, and Evelyn Brent and NeiJ Hamilton are in the star roles. The villain of tho piece Is a professional photographer, who also dabbles in the occult, but solely with the idea of winning, by fraud and extortion, a fortune fnom gullible members of a city's fashionablo set. He befriends a destitute stage girlplayed by Evelyn Brent—and she assists him in his scheme. During a series of faked eeanceß, which are dramatically produced, tho pseudo-Spiritualist gets under his influence u promising rietini- But Ms assistant wearies of the deception and duplioity, and uses true ■feminine guile to beat the young man at his own game. Then the love theme develops and gives this story of mystery a happy ending.
