Seas (New Zealand waters)— Heavy south of Akaroa; moderate on the West Coast of the Scuth Island; elsewhere rather rough to rough. Tasman Sea—South-west to west winds prevailing in the northern portion of the eastern Taxman Sea, east to north-east in the central and southern portions, moderate to strong, with seas rather rough in places. Weather—Dull and-misty, with further rain ir. most districts; gome heavy falls on the ijast Coast of the South Island and snow on the high country; temperatures cold in the South Island, but less severe in the north.
