Since the Viennese like a parade in bright uniforms, just as people of other nationß like to gather at theatres, football games, and circuses, Chancellor Sohober, an economist, has given consideration to the proposal of a newspaper that the privilege of parade should come under amusements and be taken as such. The newspaper says a tax would reduce the number of parades, with their display of arms that frightens, away travellers, thus increasing the country's prosperity in two ways.
