A COTTAGE DAMAGED.
Fire did cotasderable damage to; an unoccupied four-roomed house at 74 Falsgravo street,on Saturday evening. The rear portion of the cottage was badly., damaged, while the rest' of it wa« aflfected by smoke and water. The Central Fire Brigade received the call'at 10.14 and one engine went out, and under the directions ot Deputy-Superintendent C. J. Blake had " no difficulty in putting the fire oiit. : .' " ••'''■■ ■ r : So far as' is' known the - house is owned by : a Mr McMillan, but his address! has not'yet been ascertained. The insurance is not available.
