The secretary was instructed to provisionally engage the N .A.P. Associar tion's hall for a dance on Friday evenins. It was 4 also decided to arrange for entertaining the visitors on Saturday evening anu for an outing on Sunday. ' The secretary was instructed to wnte to the Kaiapoi Club suggesting September 20th as a suitable date for a 'match for the Mcintosh Shield, and also to i write to the Oxford Club suggesting a match on September 27th. Mr S. G. Dalley was appointed referee for .the match between Rangiora and • Temufea. , . Considerable interest was taken in an address;'given last Friday evening in the N.A.P. .Association s hall •by Mr . Colin Mcintosh (provincial president of the New Zealand Farmers* Union) on the recent tour of the : party,'of ■ New Zealand farmers who visited There was an attendance of about 140, and Mr W. Smith (president "of the Rangiora Branch of the Farmers' Union) presided. Mr ' Mcintosh gave a lot of useful, information in a very interesting way, " and he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
