LECKIE AND DONOVAN DRAW. (PKEBS iiESOCXATIOII TXLXOBAH.) NEW PLYMOUTH, September 7. Johnny Leckia, (aather-welght champion of New Zealand, and Tommy Donovan, (ought a drawn bout last night. Over the whole distance they c»ve a stirring display of boxtag, and the referee could not separate them. Donovan was the more aggressive, continually carrying the fight to his opponent, and thus he gained points, but Leckie showed remarkable science, and a packed house was satisfied that the verdict was • ■ coreet one When the pair last met at Napier Leekie won by a knock-out. Since then Bono, van's condition had considerably improved and both men gave a great display. Tho championship was not involved.
