FEILDING STOCK SALE. (PKBSB ASSOCIATION TKIdtOEAM.) FEILDING, September 5. There were heavy yardings ot fat sheep •nd dairy stock at the weekly sale. Prices of fat sheep declined about Is per head compared with last week, bnt fat cattle sold exceptionally well, up to 40s per 'loolb being realised. There was a good demand for dairy stock. Prices were:— Fat Sheep—Primest hoggets 26s Ed to 27s 3d, very good. 24s to 25s Id, good 19s Od to 225, medium 17s 6d to 18s 9d,' fair from 16s, shorn hoggets 18s 9d, fat ewes primest 80s 9d, prime 26s to 275, very good 29s Id to 248, good 20s to 21s 2d, medium 18s to 19s, fair 15a to 16s 7d, maiden ewes 27s Bd, fat wethers, primest heavy 82a prime 30s to 80s 6d, very good 265, good 28s 4d to 28s 9d. Prices were as follows: Store Sheep—Seventeen ewes at 14s 9d, 80 four, six, and eight-tooth at 17s 6d, 60 at 21s, 5 ewe hoggets at 21s lOd, 40 hoggets at 14s Bd, 13 hoggets at 10s lid, 9 at 6s 3d, 21 at 18s 6d, 13 at 8s Id, 81 at 15s lOd, 26 at 16s 9d, 59 at 19s 9d, 61 at 16s, wether hoggets at 10s lid, 9 at 0s Bd, 21 at 18s 6d, 30 two, four, and six-tooth ewes at 2ls, 76 full-mouth ewes at 16s. Cows—One at £lO, lat £8 15s, 1 springing cow at £9, 1 do. at £8 ss, 2 springing heifers at £9 ss, 1 do. at £6 ss. METHVEN STOCK SALE. The fortnightly stock sale was held on Thursday, when there was a email attendance of farmers and a very emaU entry of stock. The pens of store sheep comprised mostly ewes in lamb, for which the demano was a little better. Only four cattle were yarded, and these failed to find buyers; Pigs, which were in somewhat larger numbers than of late, made a sharp rise in prices, A local farm property of 400 acres was offered at auction, but failed to find a buyer. ♦ The principal stock sales were:—Seven fat ewes at 12s, 9 at 18s, 116 sir and eighttooth three-quarterbred ewes in 'amb at 225. 70 do at 225, 52 failing-month halfbred ewes at 12s 3d, 77 do. at 18s, 101 half and three-quarterbred ewes at 9s lid, 80 Bomney cross ewes at 24s Id. Pigs—One store at 36e, 1 at 84s, 2 at 365, 2 weaners at 24a, 2 at 90s, 4 at 235, 1 at 38s, 2 at 28s, 2 at 245, 1 at 24a, 8 at 245, 2 at 28«, 9at 28s, Bat 14s, 4at 28s M, 9 •i Us, 1 porker at 475, I at 41s.
