OBITUARY.
CAPTAIN W. WALLER. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TXLEGBAIf.) NEW PLYMOUTH, September 5. The death occurred this afternoon of Captain William Waller, who has been harbourmaster at New Plymouth since 1913. He was formerly in the Union Steam Ship Company's service. Before taking up the position of'harbourmaster at New Plymouth, Captain Waller was well known in the intercolonial trade and the New Zealand coastal trade. He served with the Union Steam Ship Company, and also was master, at different times, of several of the Huddart. Parker Company's steamers His wife, who died about two years ago, was the youngest daughter of the late Captain J. S. Cross, tor many years harbourmaster at Nelson. Captain Waller is survived by one son and four daughters MR J. A. TIZZARDMany people will learn with much regret ot the death of Mr John A. Ti»gard, who was a popular and very highly respected resident of Glenroy. Mr Tizzard had been an inmate of the Christchurch Hospital for a little more than a week, and died a few days after a severe operation. He was born at Hororata in 1883, and was educated at the Hororata School. As a young man he worked at Hanmer and Blenheim. After he married be lived at Hororata. and at the time of his death was employed by Mr W. Hall, of Glenroy. Mr Tizzard was a P.O. of the Roval Coleridge Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F, He leaves a widow, four sons, and one daughter. : The very large attendance at the funeral testified to the esteem in which Mr Tizzard was held. Members of the Loyal Coleridge Lodge were present. The burial service was conducted by the Rev. H.. N. Roberts, and Bro. E. Charles. P.G., read the Oddfellows' ritual. The pall-bearers were Messrs A. King, W. G. Hunt, T. Bain, and Boss. Wreaths were sent by wife and family and grandmother, father and mother. Sid and N«ll, Mary. Joan and Bill, Tas, Lou, Mildred?
