HIGH AIR SPEEDS.
■ + .. EXPERIMENTS IN ENGLAND. (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) , RUGBY, September 4. Remarkable speeds, are being attained by the High Speed Section of tho ,Royal Air Force, which is practising at Felixstowe tinder the direction of Squadron-Leader "Orlebar in the supermarine Rolls Royce and Gloster Napier racing aeroplanes, built for the Schneider trophy. It is now expected, that the difficulty in regard to the Italian and French entries for next year's Schneider contest will be overcome and that the lace will be held in British waters. Although the speeds now being attained by the British pilots are not being divulged, it is stated that the world's record of 357 miles an hour, which was set up by Squadron-Leader Orlebar, • has since been exceeded 111 these practice flights.
