TWO MEN FINED. (PRKS9 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September %. While attending '■ to. a motor-car a woman dropped a handbag in the street.. It was picked up by two window-cleaners, Joseph McCrohan and Robert William Wallace. Despite • the ffict it contained a driving license with the woman's name and address, they made no attempt to return it to the owner, even though the loss was advertised; but instead they attempted to sell a ring to a dealer. They thus found themselves in Court to answer a charge of theft involving a total value of bag and contents of £3l. Each was fined £lO and ordered to make good the loss of £1 5s and to repay the dealer
