RAILWAY TO VIEW HILL.
OBJECTIONS TO CLOSING OF LINE. A very largely attended meeting -was held -in the - View Hill .Schoolroom to take .further, action, in regard to the. proposed'closing of the railway to View Hill. Mr A, A. Fantbam was appointed chairman. It .was unanimously decided that a service, should be run to View Hill, and it was resolved to procure data in regard to the quantity of produce and goods sent-to and from View Hill and Bexley. It was decided to ask the Minister for Railways to meet, a deputation, and in the meantime, to, suspend the closing of the -line. It was decided .that Messrs. E..- O. Dixon, A. A. Fautham, R. McConnell, Buxton, I. Aroa, and D. J. Hawke, with representatives from the County Council'and the Fanners' Union, should be the " delegation. Other details were considered, and an enthusiastic meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Messrs Parish and Watson, for attending, and .to .the chairman.
