DEATH FROM NATURAL CAUSES.

ADJOURNED INQUEST. Oh July 14th Howard JJvender Leith, a single man, aged 23, was found dead in bis bed in the Hospital Board's depot, Armagh street, feome time before be had been injured in ft motor-car accident, but he appeared to have almost recovered, and to the other inmates of the depot seemed to be cheerful and well. The inquest mto hia death was adjourned by . the Coroner. Mr H. P. Lawry. in order that a post-mortem examination might be made, and the results were presented to the Court yesterday by the pathologist at the Christchurch Hospital, Dr. E. F. Thomson. In ae cordanco , with the medical evidence, the Coroner gave a verdict that Leith died on July 14th. from acute oedema of the lungs, and nephritis. In addition to Dr. Thompson's testi inony. Felix John Theodore Grigg. Government analyst at Christchurch. and Reginald Pelham Chibnall, a police constable, gave evidence. Sergeant Michael Hodgins conducted the proceedings for the police.
