AUCTIONS. H. MATSON AND CO. HMATSCttT and CO. REPORT ON , ADDINGTON MARKET AS FOLLOWS:— STORE SHEEP. H. MATSON and 00. report tho total entry comprised 1400 sheep, representing 20 pens. There was a good attendance and the market generally showed a more confident tone. Where good sheep or attractive consignments were on offer values improved to the extent of 2s per head. Unattractive lots showed no improvement. The following are some of the principal sale 3:— 42 halfbred two-tooth ewes, showing well in lamb to English Leicester rains. 31s 6d: U5 two-tooth stud Shropshire ewes, moved in April, 31s, 35 three-qusrterbred ewes, good mouths, just medium quality, 2fls 6d: 122 halfbred ewes, two-tnoths, mated With English Leicester rams, 25s (id; 1-11 ditto. 23s 7d to 23s 9d: 56 Romncy ewes, tig ewes, mated with Down rr.ms in April, showing in good condition, 245; 56 halfbred ewes, two, four, and six-tooth, mated with English Leicester and Border Leicester rams. 22s 4d; 50 three-quarterbred four-tooth awes, joined with Down rams, 21s; 45 halfbred ewes, four. sis. and eight-tooth, mated with English Leicester rams. 23s 8d; 130 threequarterbred four, sis, and eight-tooth ewes, mated with English Leicester and Corriedale rams, Peninsula sheep, 19s Sd; other ewes of various grades and qualities sold from 12s to 18s.
