She is to sail this afternoon on the arrival of the 3.55 p.m. train from Christchurch, for Melbourne, via Wellington and Bluff. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion motor-ship is due in the stream at Lyttelton at 7 o'clock this morning from London, via Suva. She ii expected to berth soon after 8 tCclock,

The Swedish tanker Balaclava Bhould arrive this morning from Wellington to complete discharge". She is to sail to-morrow for Balik Papau. The Holrndale is expected from Timaru this morning, and sails this afternoon with cargo for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kaimanawa is expected here to-day from Dunedin with a part 'cargo of coal from Westport for discharge. She is to sail to-niQrrow for Westport. The Waimarino is to complete loading here to-day for Auckland, and sails via Wellington. The Foxton should arrive on Saturday from Poxton to load for the return trip. The Gale is now expected on Sunday from Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru, and will load qn Monday for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Calm is to arrive here to-morrow from Wanganui and Wellington. She takes in cargo for Bluff, Dunedin, and Timaru. The Kuku is timed to load here to-morrow for Nelson and Motueka.

. The Cygnet is now completing overhaul at Lyttelton, and is expected to load early next weak for Kaikoura and Wellington. The small steamer John Anderson lias been slipped at Lyttelton for annual overhaul. The Orewa is working all the Banks Peninsula Bays in the meantime. The Waikawa, which is discharging Los Angeles cargo here, is to sail to-morrow for Dunedin and Bluff. Tho Tolara is due here on Saturday from New Plymouth. Sho loads for New Plymouth and sails for Wellington. t Tho Wainui is due to-morrow from Timara, and will load for Napier and Gisborne. She sails via Wellington. The Opihi is now due here on Tuesday from the south to load for Nelson and New Plymouth. Tho Narbada is now expected on Tuesday from Wellington with cargo from Calcutta and other Eastern ports for discharge. Sho sails later for Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff, nad Newcastle.

The Waipiata should arrive here on Tuesday from Auckland and Wellington, Bnd is to sail in the evening for Dunedin and Bluff. The Kanna is due here on Tuesday from Portland, via Auckland, Napier, and Wellington.

The Ruahine, en route from Southampton to Wellington, sailed from Panama on Saturday. Advice from the Ruapehu states that she expects to arrive at Wellington at daybreak on Thursday next.from Southampton. The Government steamer Tutanekai is expected at Lyttelton on Thursday next from Wellington on her periodical round of the South Island lighthouses. The Ferndale is to sail from London on September 24th for Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and New Plymouth. She is due here about the end of October,

The Port Hunter is to sail from New York oil October 30th for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and. Duncdin. The Turakina was to- soil from Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Armadale is due at Wellington tomorrow from Auckland to continue discharge of her New York cargo. She should arrive at Lyttelton early next week, and will also discharge at Timaru and Dunedin. The Zcalandic, en route from Liverpool, reports that she expects to arrive at Auckland this evening. She in due at Wellington about a week later.

The Tamaroa, which left Wellington on the afternoon of July 30th, arrived at Southampton on Monday afternoon, after a good trip of 33 days.

Captain A. H. Prosser has relieved Oaptain 3. G. Watson, of the Waikouaiti, for holidays. Captain E. R. Lowe has joined the Kahika, relieving Captain G. W. Evans for holidays. Captain P. G Bilton has been appointed to the Kiwitea, relieving Captain W. Whitefield for holidays. Messrs A. P. Cousin and J. W. Madden have joined the Makura as second and third officers respectively, relieving Messrs N. H. Pearson and S. H. Crawford, for instructions. Mr T. H. Davis is now chief officer of the Kaimai, vice Mr W. A. McGarry, who has come ashore for holidays. ' Mr A. N. B. Smith, second engineer of the Makura, is at present on holiday. Mr C. G. Porteous, fifth engineer of the Wahine, has resigned from the service, his place being taken by Mr J. &'. Hardy. Mr L. Blomfield has joined the Wainui as second engineer, relieving Mr K. J. McLeod.

Mr J. Taylor has joined the Kaimai as second engineer, in place of Mr F. Clennell. The Canadian Transporter is due at Auckland on or about Saturday.
