COIN PARTY.

A coin evening party was given - by Mr and Mrs 6. G. Holmes at their residence, "Knoeklynn," Halswell, in aid of the Halswell Convent Building Fund. The hostess, assisted by her sister, Miss W. KearnS, received her guests wearing a smart gown of black georgette and lace. A happy time was spent by the numerous guests, billiards, bridge, and other card games being enjoyed. During the evening a prize, consisting of a turkey and ham was won by Mr Hugh Christie, of Christchurch, Father O'Connor being the adjudicator. Among those present wore the Rev.
