STOPBANK AT BEXLEY. In order to lessen the danger of flood for the residents of Bexlcy, the Heathcote County Council is extending the stopbank along the Avon between the Brighton Bridge at Seaview road and the South Brighton bridge. - Thirty chain* will be put up at & cost of about £2OO. a similar amount having been spent last year and the year before.
