LIBERTY THEATRE.

DOUBLE FEATURE BILL. One of the most interesting and diversified doable-feature programmes over secured by the management of the Liberty Theatre has been arranged for presentation this week. Nancy Carroll and Gary Cooper in "The Shopworn Angel" provide throe acts of uplendid drama, in a picture in which Mies Oarroll, for to long associated comedy, proves herself un emotional actress of the first order. The theme song, "Just a Precious Little Thing Called Love," is sung by her with (jreat effect. The story is a triangular love affair, but quite unlike tho, conventional studies of society situations with which theatre-goers aro familiar. Not until the climax, which is n masterpiece of dramatic action, is the solution of the romance quite discernible. "The Shopworn Ansel" is a new and refreshing type of romantic drama, and is excellently acted by the cast headed by Miss Carroll and Oary Cooper. The second picture, "Rosdhouße Nights," presents Charles Rugglosi the hilarious but clever inebriate of "The Lady Lies," and "Gentlemen of tho Press," in another brilliant newspapor rote. Helen Morgan, the Ziegfeld Blues singer, is opposite him. "Bondhouse Nights" is a story packed with thrills, intrigue, and adventure, with the gangster versus the journalist angle for a plot.
