Auckland —The weather was fine, at Auckland during the week-end. The wind was moderate and southerly. Wellington—Rain fell on Saturday morning, hut the most of the day was dry and sunny. The sky was clouded over for periodfl, however. Yesterday thore was mist in the morning but the weather cleared before mid-day, although it continued to be overcast. Both days and night 3 have been mild. ' Dunedin—The weather -was unsettled in Dunedin on Saturday. Light rain fell in the lata afternoon, but the night was fine. The maximum- temperature was 50 degrees. The barometer, which was steady at 29.10, showed a rising tendency. On Sunday the conditions Were brighter. Tho sky was overcast, but the sun broke cover at intervals. The wind was light from the northeast on both days. The barometer is rising., Tho maximum temperaturo was 60 degrees. forecast. General Situation —The depression on the Tasman Sea has developed a cyclonic form, and wag centred yesterday westi of the South Island. Pressure has risen over the Western' Tasman Sea. . Winds —Southerly in the far south, else; where northerly to : westerly, but southerly soon becoming, geperal, and moderate to strong and squally at times. , Seas (N.Z. Waters)— Rather rough generally. Tasman Sea: Moderate, to strong south to south-west, windß, with .rather rough sea in the Eastern Tasman Sea. Weather —Cloudy and unsettled, with rain in most districts and some heavy falls, more especially in the South Island. Tempera- | tuxes beepming colder soon.
