"Willimanson, Ltd., musical comedy season, which begins on Saturday nest, at the Theatre Royal, when will be staged for the first time here the brilliant London Gaiety Theatre musical comedy triumph, *'Love Lies," which has just completed a record run in Sydney. Tilt) occasion iB full of interest, aa in addition to signalising the first appearance here of a number of London artistß, including* Betty Eloy, Bobby Gordon, and Michael Cole, it will also witness the reappearance of the ever-popular and very humorous comedian, Clem Dawe, who will make his debut in musical comedy here. In the past we have enjoyed Mr Dawe's genius for creating humour in pantomime and revues, but he is now appearing in legitimate plays, and judging by reports from Australia the talented artist takes full advantage of the genuine coinedy attached to the character of Jerry "Walker, which was portrayed 'n London by Stanley Lupino Marie Eaton, Paul Plunkett, Dan Agar, Les "White, Mo)ia Barlee, Katherino Stewart, and Eric.Edgley have all appeared here oh fornier occasions, and they will be welcomed on 'Saturday night. "Love Lies" is packed with humorous comedy sccne3, and it unfolds a vory interesting love romance, delightful musical numbers, exquisite ballets, dazzling ensembles. There is one young man in the play who is anxious to {jet married, but his undo objects, since it would rui* his career as an artist. He marries just inn same. A Becond young man, satisfied with his liberty, is being almost forced by his uncle *o take a wife, and with the cussednesa of human nature, he will have none of it, and finally there enter the namby-pamby couple, an heiress masquerading as a poor girl, and tho young man as a real live lord. One can easily imagine what happons when the young men meet at the artist's studio, the girls follow, and the uncles and the lord arrive in turn. The dancing of the brilliant Australian ballet girls is a feature of the production and so is the big specialty dance executed by Mcna Zeppel and John Robertson.
