' The first of the annual inter-Association matches between the Ellesmere Miniature Riflo Association and tho Kaiapoi Miniature , Rifle Association was fired on the Rangiora range on Saturday evening. The teams comprised 30 men a-side, tho conditions being the best 27 to be counted, seven shots and j one optional sighter per man. Tho Ellesmere j team won by two points. At the weekly shoots of the miniaturo rifle clubs affiliated to the Waimate Miniaturo Rifle Association, the shooting was well up to standard, several clubs recording possibles off the rifle.
