EVERYBODY'S THEATRE.

"THE SKY HAWK." Aerial 'warfare, particularly the Zeppelin raids over London during tho war, is tho centra,l therne of tho excellent picture, "Tho ,Sky Hawk," now showing in Christchurcli for tho second timo at Everybody's this week. This picture, which is a film adaptation of the well-known story, "Tho Chap Culled ISardoll," ranks as one of tho finest of its kind, and it is evident that no pains have been' spared in the productiou uf this thrilling drama o£ tho air. Although no great original it;-" can be claimed tor tho story and plot, yet u very definite climax is reached, ending in an heroic combat between an aeroplane and a Zeppelin, with a realistic background of searchlights, bombs, and antiaircraft guns. John Garrick (John Bardell), better known to Christchurch patrons as Reginald Dandy of "Rose Mario" fame, is a young peer training for his commission in the JI.A.F. Ho lias a crush with his machine under suspicious circumstances, and i.s cashiered for cowardico. Although badly crippled, his mind is fixed on one end, that of retrieving his tarnished reputation. With the help of his mechanic he converts an old condemned army aeroplane into one miitablo for his purpose, that of flying to France. Before this can bo done a Zeppelin comes over London under cover of darkness, dropping bombs and destruction. With indomitable courago Jack engages in an unequal fight, considering that his aerojilano is linserv'ceable, his efforts being crowned with success. Tho supporting programmo of varied short films in music is also good.
