THE COMING GENERATION.
HIGH IDEALS NEEDED. GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S HOPE. tf BIBS ISSOCIATIO* TXLZQXAX.) WELLINGTON, July 20. "I have belonged to that tribe myself," said the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe), in reply to the suggestion, or, perhaps, prophecy, by the president of the Orphans' Club* (Mr W. H. Bennett), on Saturday night, that his Ex cellency might be bored by our politicians. "However, I am devoutly glad that A have left Party politics behind me," went on the Governor-General. "It leads me to express the hope that your young men will perpetually come forward from this community. 99 per cent, of which is Britain, with high ideals to follow those who have recently passed away." "New Zealand will need such men more and more, as time goes on."
