YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS.

There was a moderate turnover of diversified business on call yesterday. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, included: —

(£5 paid). 200 N.Z. Breweries. 200 British Tobacco. 100 Electro. Zinc (ord. cum div.) 100 Mt. Lyell. 300 Mt. Lyell "rights." 800 Mahakipawa. 300 Okarito. 300 Stoney Creek (6d paid).

Bank of Australasia shares iell to £l2 and there were further unsupported sellers at £l2 2s 6d. Commercial Bank of Australia ordinary shares, cum dividend, remained at 21s 2d, closing quotations 21s buyers 21s la sellers. English, Scottish, and Australian Bank shares were easier, witii sellers at £5 19s 3d. buyers at £0 18s 9d. National Bank of Australasia £5 paid shares relapsed to £7 Os bd, market closing £7 sellers, £6 I*« buyers. Bank of New South Wales shares eased to £36 sellers, £35, I^ B buyers. Bank of New Zealand shares we're weaker, with unsupported sellers at 57b. . , „ „,, Sellers of Dale;etv and Company shares reduced their limits to buvers at £lO 2s Od. P. and O. deferred stock was stronger witn buyers at 43s 6d. sellers at 46s <SO. New Zealand Breweries shares had dpalinss at 49s lid. and more were offered at that figure, buyers at 4Ws (id. British Tobaccos had dealings at "■"■= 7A and more were wanted at 3 f ; s Bd, sellers at 36s lid. Electrolytic Zinc ordinnrv shares, cum dividend, eased to 20s 2d. market closing id on either . side. Mt. Lyells were fraotionallv firmer, with business at /4s 2d sellers staying- in at that price, buyers at 24s—the "riehts" moved up a point to 2s sd, market closing 2s 4d buvers 2s ud sellers. Mahakipawa Gold field a shares remained unaltered, with dealings at 2d. and Stoney Creek fVI mid shares were firm at sd.
