riccarton racecourse \\ club.'.,.; ANNUAL MEETING HELD. Having; gtarted with lour members, : the Btccarton Racecourse Bowling Olub now has a membership of 89, according; to, the first annual report presented at the annual geaeral meeting of the club held last'evening. The opening had been held on November 30th. The green had played remarkably well for the first year, and visiting bowlers ■ had praised the playing surface. The club had held two socials during the season, both of which had been financially successful. The financial statement, showing a credit balance of £99 19s Id, showed the club to be in a' flourishing position. The election of officers resulted as . follower—President, Mr 'G. Murray-Aynsley; vice-presidents, the committee and stewards of the. Canterbury Jockey Olub, Messrs 0. G. Dalgety, and F. Oother; secretary, ,Mr Q. Beed; treasurer, Mr A. Cutts; : committee, Messrs P. D. McNab, J. Bailey, H. Daniel, P. Anderson, W. Townsend, •R. S"ord, J; Wallace, and D. Kwanston; honorary auditor, Mr A. Freeman; delegate to the Bowling Centro, Mr P. D. McNab. The prizes won by members of the club during the season were.presented, the winners being:—Champion (singles) colts, J. De Bungs .1, A. Hamilton 2; Clifford buttons (doubles), open handicap, A. Hamilton and P. Hill. The Clifford buttons were bought by the committee during the season to be competed for annually. Six sew members were elected. A vote of thanks to the Canterbury Jockey Club for its assistance and for allowing the Bowling Club the use of a room was passed.
