Twenty-seven persons are reported to be drowned and Uioußands are homeless in Taippgata Ken, as a jrcsult of excessive rain# causing rivers in the to rise twepty feet. There are extensive floods, railways have been interrupted, aad bridges and embankments np.ve been destroyed. Tremendous damage lias been done to crops.
