GIANT SPEEDWAY.
PROJECT TO COST HALF A MILLION. (UHITEI) PBBSS ASSOCIATION —BT BLECTBIO TILBOBAfH —COPYBIOHT.) LONDON, July 2. The Treasury has provisionally agreed to sell 8000 acres of tidal lands to the Automobile Racing Association for the construction of a giant motorspeedway along the north shore of The Wash. The project includes the construction erf a straight concrete track 16 miles long and 200 yards wide. This is twice as long as Daytona Beach. Florida. A breakwater from Skegness to Freiston will reclaim the requisite land. There will be stands for 200,000 spectators. There will be a waterway for motor-boat trials and also a track of eight miles in cimiit. The cost of the project; will be about £600,000.
