YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. There was a good volume of business on call yesterday, Bank shares and Mt. Lyells attracting the bulk of the turnover. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, included:— 200 Australian Bank of Commerce. 1300 Commercial Bank of Australia. 10 National Bank of Australasia (£.lO paid). 27 National Bank of Australasia (£5 paid). 5 Bank of New South Wales. 100 Goldsbrough, Mort. 100 Christchurch Gas. 200 British Tobacco. 700 Mt. Lyell. 2000 Mahakipawa. , 1000 Cornish Point (Is paid). Australian Bank of Commerce shares were easier with dealings at 23s and 23s Id, and more were wanted at 235, sellers at 23a 4d. Commercial Bank of Australia ordinary shares changed hands at 21s Id and 21s 3d, market closing 21s 2d sellers, 21s Id buyers. Commercial Bank of Sydney shares were weaker with sellers at £2O 10s, buyers at £l9 12s 6d. National Bank of Australasia fully-paid shares were released at £l4 lis 6d, and the £5 paid shares at £7 2s, market closing firm for both issues. Bank of New South Wales were stronger at £3B 12s 6d, and there were further sellers at that price, buyers at £3B 10a. Dalgety and Company shares were easier with sellers at £ll, buyers at £lO 15s 6d. Goldsbrough, Morts recovered to 29s 3d, closing quotations 29s 2d sellers, 29s Id buyers. Christchurch Gas shares were fractionally weaker with business at 25s 10d, and there were further buyers at 25s 9d, sellers at 265; the 10s paid shares weakened in sympathy to 12s lOd sellers, 12s 9d buyers. Quotations for Carlton and Tooths Brewery shares revealed weaker mar kets. British Tobaccos were fractionally weaker with business at 37s 3d, and further sellers at 37s 2d, buyers at 375. Electrolytic Zinc preference shares ran down to 23s 8d sellers, 23s buyers. Mt. Lyells moved up to dealings at 255, market closing 24s lOd buy ers, 25s sellers. Mahakipawa Goldfields shares remained unaltered at 2Jd. Cornish Point Is paid shares eased to dealings at ; Bd, and more were offered at that price, buyers at 7d.
