BOY SCOUTS.

- MEETING OF OFFICERS. A general masting of scoutmasters, cubmasters, and Oronp Committee momben was held laat night in the Meri▼ale Schoolroom, and was presided over by Aoting Metropolitan Commissioner J. Bleb. Air J. B. Weir reported that the Debt Extinction Fund showed a substantial decrease in the debts outstanding. It was decided to pat in hand immediately efforts to reduce th# indebtedness further. The visit of the Chief Scout, Lord Baden Powell, early next year, was discussed. In view of the absence of definite instructions, it was decided that all that Troops could do in the meantime was to steadily increase the standard of training and appearance. The chairman gave details of the fine gift made by the Christchurch Rotary Club by placing at the disposal of the Boy Scouts the Sandwell Training Camp free of charge, for one year. Appreciation of the valuable assistance given by the Club was expressed.
