A matter of very grfeat interest to bowlers generally was touched upon when the question of Sunday play was brought up. After some discussion, Mr F. E. Barrett's motion, "that rulo 32, relating to I tho prohibition of Sunday play be deleted," was carried unanimously. This does not mean that the green is now open for Sunday play, but that the committee is now in a position to consider such a proposal. Lan Wilmott, Neil Manson, Noel Stevens, and Keith Marriott, of the North - :Beach School, have been picked to play in the under 8-stone team for the Merivale . Club, while Stewart Freeborn and-Clif Mahan are playing for the same club's under 6$ stone team. The school basketball team met the Burwood girls last Tuesday, and won by 16 goals to 9. Kathleen Hanna scored most of the goals, while Marjorie Skinner and Ruth Uren played particularly good games.
